The principal interest of this copy lies in the fact that fixed to the front pastedown there is a letter to Mrs. Selwyn-Smith from the author, addressed from "Bury House, Bury, nr Pulborough, Sussex," dated Nov 25, 1928, in the following terms: "My Dear Madam, I thank you very much for a very kind letter which gave me great pleasure. With all good wishes I am, very truly yours, John Galsworthy" The envelope, addressed in the author's hand, to " Mrs. Emily Selwyn-Smith, Grey Gums, Warrandyte, Australia" is fixed to the obverse of the ffep, and a photograph of the author,taken from a newspaper clipping, is fixed to the half-title. $95.00AUD
